RuffCut Labs, LLC ("RuffCut Labs", "we", "us") is a family-run fabrication shop in Ohio. This policy explains what we collect when you use ruffcutlabs.com, shop.ruffcutlabs.com and reseller.ruffcutlabs.com, and what we do with it.
What we collect
- When you request a quote: your name, email address, the service you're asking about, quantity, and the details you type in.
- When you join our email list: your email address.
- When you buy something: your name, email, shipping address and what you ordered. Payment is handled by Stripe. Your card number goes straight to Stripe and never reaches us.
- When you apply as a reseller: your business name, contact name, email, expected volume and anything you tell us about your business.
- When you browse: basic technical information such as pages visited, browser type and approximate location from your IP address. We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages people use. It sets cookies and sends this information to Google.
How we use it
- To answer your quote request and make what you ordered.
- To ship your order and send you order updates.
- To send our email newsletter, only if you signed up. Every email has an unsubscribe link.
- To understand which pages and ads work, so we spend less on ones that don't.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the shop:
- Stripe, to take payment.
- Our hosting and email providers, to run the website and send email.
- Shipping carriers, to deliver your order.
- Google, through Google Analytics, which measures how the site is used.
Text messages (SMS)
If you give us your mobile number and agree, we send two kinds of texts. Customer care texts are about your quote or order: project questions, proof approvals, production and shipping updates, and replies to messages you send us. Marketing texts may include discount codes, special deals and texts promoting our products and services. You choose each kind separately, and you can choose neither.
- How we get your number and consent: you give it to us yourself, on our quote form or by asking us to text you, and you pick which texts you want. Consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message frequency: varies. Customer care texts follow your order; marketing texts are occasional.
- Message and data rates may apply.
- To stop: reply STOP to any text and we stop all texts. For help, reply HELP, or call (614) 980-0233 or email [email protected].
- Your mobile number and your text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We share them only with the service providers that deliver our texts for us, and only so they can deliver those texts.
Cookies
We use cookies the site needs to work, such as remembering your cart, and Google Analytics cookies to measure visits. We don't use advertising cookies yet; if we add them, we'll update this policy before we do. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings and the site still works. To stop Google Analytics measuring you on any site, use Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
How long we keep it
Quote requests and order records: 3 years after your last order, for warranty and tax records. Email list: until you unsubscribe.
Your choices
Email [email protected] to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We'll answer within 30 days.
Children
The site is not meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date at the top.
